Modulable: Building for Growth with an Integrated Microsoft Ecosystem

To support its expansion into the private sector and across Canada, Modulable partnered with Wepoint to connect its operations end to end. With a Microsoft ecosystem tailored to its needs, the company is improving efficiency across the business, from sales to field service.

Formerly known as AMB Modulaire, Modulable is a Quebec-based company specializing in the design, manufacturing and installation of prefabricated modular buildings for institutional, commercial and private-sector clients.

Historically well established among schools, government bodies and public organizations in Quebec, the company supports projects where speed, construction quality and adaptability are critical. Its modular solutions address both temporary and permanent space requirements, with projects that can be delivered on particularly short timelines.

After strengthening its position in the institutional sector, Modulable is entering a new phase of growth, with plans to expand further into the private sector and across Canada.

Modernizing the Operational Foundation for Expansion into New Markets

This growth strategy created new operational requirements for Modulable.

Expanding into new markets, customer segments and regions required a more structured, resilient and scalable organization.

To support that shift, Modulable needed systems that could centralize information, streamline operations and provide greater visibility across the business, including sales, finance, inventory, field service, stock management and customer relationships.

The challenge went beyond technology. Modulable needed a digital foundation that could support a broader business transformation and sustain its long-term growth.

End-to-End Support for a Tailored Microsoft Ecosystem

Wepoint worked with Modulable to implement and optimize a comprehensive Microsoft ecosystem spanning the company’s financial, sales and operational needs.

Wepoint brought together expertise in Business Central, a strong understanding of financial and operational processes, and the ability to connect technology decisions with Modulable’s growth objectives.

Key Phases of the Project

1. Technology assessment and advisory

The first step was to understand the existing environment, identify pain points and determine what was needed to stabilize the systems already in place. This work strengthened the foundation of Business Central and clarified priorities before extending the Microsoft ecosystem to other areas of the business.

2. Strengthening the ERP with Business Central

Wepoint then supported Modulable in optimizing Business Central, with a particular focus on financial management, stock and inventory.

3. Deploying CRM with Dynamics 365 Sales

Dynamics 365 Sales now gives teams a centralized environment for tracking opportunities, interactions, documents, plans and pipeline progress. As soon as an opportunity is identified, it is entered into the CRM, making the platform part of the teams’ day-to-day sales management.

4. Implementing Dynamics 365 Field Service

Dynamics 365 Field Service has helped Modulable better manage field activities related to modules installed at customer sites. The company can now track claims, initiate service requests, schedule technicians, manage the associated use of inventory and handle billing for completed services. This operational layer helps Modulable respond more quickly while improving customer follow-up after installation.

5. Embedding the tools into day-to-day operations

User adoption has been a critical part of the project. At Modulable, the CRM has become a central tool for business reviews, opportunity tracking and document management. Sales teams use it to centralize customer communications, plans and account information, providing a more complete view of each opportunity and its progress.

6. Bringing Copilot into the Ecosystem

By combining its Microsoft ecosystem with Copilot and intelligent capabilities in Dynamics 365, Modulable is gradually turning its CRM into a more capable day-to-day assistant for its teams, helping summarize information, surface suggestions, qualify opportunities and accelerate selected sales tasks.

Managing the Complexity of a Multi-Solution Deployment

The project had to account for several operational realities.

The first involved asset management. Modulable needed a structured way to track its modules and equipment, but integrating the underlying data required significant preparation.

The second challenge was building the CRM before the sales team was fully in place. Wepoint had to anticipate future requirements, design a model robust enough to support them and then adjust it as new users joined.

The project also had to bring several areas together at the same time: ERP, CRM, field service, stock, inventory, finance, documents and user adoption.

Success therefore depended on orchestrating these components without losing sight of the business objective: enabling Modulable to grow faster, expand further and maintain greater control over its operations.

The Microsoft Ecosystem as a Driver of Business Transformation

This project shows how a well-integrated Microsoft environment can become a genuine driver of business transformation.

Rather than simply deploying new tools, Modulable has built an information system designed to support its next stage of growth. Commercial, financial and operational data flows more effectively across the organization. Teams have a more complete view of customers, opportunities and field activities. Leadership can rely on more consistent information to guide growth.

The CRM is more than an administrative tool. It reflects the company’s operational standards. Opportunities, documents, interactions, plans and follow-ups are centralized, creating greater continuity across sales, operations and customer service

What’s Next: Bringing AI into Operations

The next phase will explore how artificial intelligence can be integrated into Modulable’s CRM and ERP ecosystem.

Several use cases are already being considered, including agents for lead qualification, support for closing sales opportunities, automation of selected financial tasks, accounts payable agents, and assistance for employees in their day-to-day use of the platforms.

The challenge will be as much organizational as technological: identifying the right use cases, prioritizing those that deliver the greatest value and helping teams make AI a practical part of their everyday work.

With this project, Modulable has done more than deploy an ERP, a CRM and a field service solution. The company has built a digital foundation designed to support its next stage of growth.
